In this training video on search engine ranking, we continue to optimize an
existing page on one of our websites, learningsqlserver2008.com. For todays lesson
of we are going to focus on keyword research. This is a critical step to find keyword
phrases and keyword terms that are being searched by potential customers. We discuss free
tools for keyword suggestion, wordtracker.com, Google Adwords and seobook.com. These
tools give you a list of keyword phrase and the number of times they are being searched
on Google, Yahoo, MSN and other search engines. Using these tools we come up with a
list of four keywords. Next we focus on improving keyword density by strategically
placing these keywords throughout our web page.

Search Engine Ranking and Optimization - Part 3
In part three of the training on search engine ranking, we focus on Google ranking factors.
We start off with Meta tags that are important from a search engine crawler and robot point of view.
We show you how to optimize the Title tag, Meta description and Meta keyword tags. We show you how
to look up Meta tags on any web page using that view Page source option. Next we focus on HTML body
tags which are important from a keyword density and relevance relevance perspective. For this
portion of the video, we focus on H1 and H3 heading tags, bold and strong html tags. We end the
lesson with anchor text which is used for your outgoing links to internal or external pages.
Ideally the anchor text should match keyword phrases and keywords.
